Egham, 25th September 2008 – Verbatim is now launching special designer editions of its external 2.5” hard drives. The 2.5” HDD with 500GB storage capacity will be be available as a Premium Black edition, while the 320GB HDD will be presented in five eye-catching colours - the Colour edition. These drives are available from retailers now. State-of-the-art technology and a stylish appearance are the hallmarks of Verbatim’s 2.5” hard drives. The slimline design, coupled with its weight of just 170grams, means it is light to carry around and, moreover, it fits perfectly in the hand and slips into any handbag or jacket - convenience personified for those continually on the move.

High-tech meets an eye-catching design
The five colour models in the Colour edition provides 320GB of storage space. Each super-cool colour has been chosen to reflect the latest colours offered by laptop manufacturers - red, blue, pink, green or metallic black.
The external 2.5” hard drives offer plenty: data is transferred via the USB port and runs at 5,400rpm, up to 480Mbit/s. The USB connection also supplies the HDD with power, so no external power pack is required. The devices are suitable for Windows® users, and support the respective back-up software suites “Nero BackItUp 2 Essentials”.
