Everyone knows the problems associated with playing back holiday videos, slideshows or movies on home PCs. With the MediaStation from Verbatim, those days are gone, as the direct connection to the TV is all it takes to enjoy all the multi-media content you could wish for, in the best possible quality, from the comfort of your own sofa. The MediaStation weighs around a kilogram, it has a space-saving design that stands on two feet, is extremely quiet - it uses no fans - and, thanks to its sophisticated design, fits in perfectly with any decor.

The MediaStation features a 3.5” SATA hard drive for smooth writing and reading of data. The 500GB memories offer sufficient space for, according to compression and format, 1,000 hours of video (Mpeg 4) or 6,300 hours of music (MP3) or 250,000 5-Megapixel photos.

The multi-media hard drives can play back all popular video, audio and graphics formats, including MPEG4, DivX, MP3, WMA, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, JPEG and PNG. All of the connection cables required for this are included with the drive.  There is an optional analogue audio connection through cinch or digital connection via optical Toslink/S-PDIF, guaranteeing the best possible sound quality. Both MediaStation models also support Digital Audio 5.1 format.

The included composite and S-video connection cables ensure picture-perfect playback. MediaStation Pro also offers an HDMI connection for the best possible audio and picture quality, and full HD with a resolution of 1080p. The standard version of MediaStation offers a scaled resolution of 1080i. A USB 2.0 connection allows additional data media to be docked with the MediaStation Pro and content transferred or displayed directly onto  TV.

One of the highlights of the Pro version is its WLAN connection. Thanks to cable-free integration into the home network, data from the PC can not only be transferred conveniently to the MediaStation, but can also be played back directly in real time on the TV. The MediaStation Pro can also receive Internet radio - radio streams Shoutcast and Icecast can be received directly via the Internet connection.

On-screen navigation is particularly clearly designed and easy to control via the remote control. It is even possible to create personal playlists and set up private, password-protected folder options.

An upgrade of the firmware for new codecs and features is guaranteed via the Verbatim website.
